Introduction
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing tactical Human Resources support to the leadership team and employees by coordinating and implementing the people agenda across the business. The role focuses on delivering key HR functions, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, talent management, performance management, employee relations, and HR compliance to ensure business objectives are achieved effectively.
Job description

HR Business Partnering: 
• Support the HR Manager in implementing the HR strategy across the business.
• Build strong working relationships with managers and employees.
• Provide professional HR advice to support operational and business needs.
 
Workforce Planning & Compliance: 
• Coordinate workforce planning and headcount budgeting in line with operational requirements.
• Support Employment Equity (EE) initiatives and workforce planning processes.
• Conduct HR audits and ensure compliance with company policies and legislation.
• Promote HR best practices across all departments.
 
Recruitment & Onboarding: 
• Manage the full recruitment and selection process.
• Prepare and place job advertisements.
• Screen applications and coordinate interviews.
• Arrange pre-employment assessments and reference checks.
• Prepare employment offers and coordinate employee onboarding.
• Ensure recruitment processes comply with company policies and procedures.
 
Talent & Performance Management: 
• Support the implementation of talent management initiatives.
• Coordinate performance management processes.
• Assist managers with employee development and succession planning.
 
Employee Relations: 
• Provide advice and guidance on employee relations matters.
• Support the fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
• Promote positive employee engagement and workplace relationships.
 
HR Reporting: 
• Prepare and submit HR reports, including absenteeism and timekeeping reports.
• Monitor HR trends and provide accurate people-related information to management.
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12/Matric
  • National Diploma in Human Resources Management (NQF Level 6) 
  • Registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) as a Human Resource Professional (HRP) will be advantageous.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a general human resources environment.
