Junior Surveyor
Position summary

Job description
· Carry out surveying activities in line with mining best practices and company standards.
· Install and maintain survey control points and survey marks.
· Conduct face, bench, grade, and dig limit measurements.
· Complete blast pattern, dump limit, drill hole, and exploration hole mark-ups and surveys.
· Perform Ground Control Point (GCP) mark-ups and surveys.
· Conduct pit, dump, and stockpile surveys.
· Survey pit gradients, slopes, brake test ramps, and pit dimensions.
· Provide survey support for construction and mining activities.
· Assist with aerial surveys and contractor survey management.
· Capture accurate survey data and prepare maps, plans, and reports.
· Maintain survey equipment and ensure accurate measurements.
· Comply with all mine health and safety standards, procedures, and legal requirements.
Minimum requirements
· Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science.
· National Diploma in Mine Surveying or Chamber of Mines Advanced Mine Survey Certificate.
· Valid South African driver's license.
· Minimum of 3 years' mining or surveying-related experience
·Experience using survey software such as Deswik, MicroStation, Model Maker, Agisoft and Maptek Point Studio.
· Experience working with GPS, total stations, laser scanners, laser levels, dumpy levels, and other surveying equipment.
